ACE HEALTHCARE TRAINING INSTITUTE IS HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE THAT WE ARE AFFILLIATED WITH COUNTY COLLEGE OF MORRIS CNA Certification Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) works under the direction of physicians, licensed practical nurses, and registered nurses to provide daily basic care for patients. A CNA provides both physical and emotional support for patients in nursing homes and hospitals. CNA's must be able to provide personal assistance to individuals who are unable to care for themselves and help regain and maintain daily functions. To be certified as a nursing assistant, the student must successfully complete the New Jersey curriculum for Nurse Aide in Long Term Care Facilities Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP) Our program is approved by the New Jersey Senior Service & Health Department. Ace Healthcare Training Institute is designed to help fulfill those requirements and help prepare the student for the State Certified Nurse Assistant examination in just 4-6 weeks.
CHHA Certification
A Certified Home Health Aide provides personal care such as bathing, dressing, or grooming to elderly, convalescent, or disabled persons in the home of patients or in a residential care facility. To be New Jersey state certified as an CHHA, the student must successfully complete a required 76 hours, to include 60 hours of classroom instruction and 16 hours of clinical instruction in a skills laboratory or patient-care setting and pass a competency evaluation exam. Medical Assisting The Medical Assisting Program prepares students to be highly skilled allied health professionals particularly trained to perform in ambulatory settings, such as physicians’ offices, clinics, group practices, perform administrative and clinical procedures. Administrative duties include scheduling and receiving patients, preparing and maintaining medical records, performing basic secretarial skills and medical transcription, handling telephone calls and writing correspondence, serving as a liason between the physician and other individuals, and managing finances. They concentrate on the quality of patient care by assisting the physician with clinical skills. Clinical duties include asepsis and infection control, taking patient histories and vital signs, performing first aid and CPR, preparing patients for procedures and other functions directed by the physician. Upon successful completion of this course, students will be eligible for National Certification through the National Healthcare Association (NHA). |
